#13 FEELING LUCKY (& MAGICAL)
There's lots of catching up to do! First thing's first - I'm in the process of giving my blog a nice and clean new look. Once the weather becomes more stable, I'll have the chance to take some new pictures and use them here. I also changed the focus of my blog to be more about my personal life rather than doing those articles every Monday. I'll still do them, but just not as much since I don't have time to think these days.
Anyway, since I haven't blogged since January, I'll brief everyone with some February shenanigans before I go on to March!
My boyfriend and I went to see Hamilton on the first week of February for his parents' anniversary. It was a super badass broadway. Lin-Manuel did such an awesome job writing this play. It made history look so cool and it was definitely a whole different take from the traditional broadway.
So unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of Valentines day except for this one... but I don't think I need any other to remind me of how special it was :) Ya'll don't need any further details.
But I have to share this sweet gift he gave me. He framed 2 photos of us and I took this one (because I liked this picture better). My work desk is more decked out now, but this was pretty much one of my first decor. My coworker said that he secretly gave it to me to "keep the boys away." Haha
Ok... so enough photos of me and my bae (for now)! I also got to catch up with some of my AKPsi line brothers late February over drinks. The time was a little brief, but it sure felt good to see them again. Time never gets old with these pals - super lucky to have them in my life.
That's all for February! I spent most of March helping my boyfriend with his new place. We went mini golfing at a place called Shipwrecked. There were so many kids in there. Cutest thing though - there was a little girl who came with her family and she was just the most impatient thing ever... but she also kept claiming her shots as "hole in one's." She wasn't even playing correctly and she was so anxious to move onto the next course, but Albert and I weren't event done with ours yet. So we had that little girl like peeping over our shoulders the entire time we were playing.
I was beginning to get annoyed at her until I was trying to take this picture and she came right in and posed with me. Cutest way to end my mini golf game!
OKKK now time for the HIGHLIGHT OF THE MONTH!!!
Albert and I went to see Beauty and the Beast the day it came out. I reserved seats for us at the 34th street theater. I was a little nervous that the movie wasn't going to be as great as they advertise it.. but IT. WAS. MAGICAL.
I was telling all my coworkers how "I felt it in the heart." I think there's just something about the story in itself that makes the movie so great. Like.. I was literally watching the entire movie with my mouth opened and fingers interlaced tightly under my chin.
Before the movie, we went to grab food at The Maze in Ktown. We specifically went there because my big told me that you're able to make your own rice balls at that place - so I was excited! However, they came back with THIS... and Albert and I were like "what?" So we mixed it and did what we thought was right. I asked the waiter when he came back if we were making the rice balls correctly and we were. But I'm convinced that he probably said that because we already mixed the damn thing and there was no turning back.
Eventually, we gave up on the rice balls and just ate straight from the bowl with our forks.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST! My family and I celebrated our grandparent's birthdays yesterday watching Aladdin and feasting on seafood. How was Aladdin? - Not the best broadway I've seen, but it might've been the day that I was watching it because my other friends and coworkers who've seen it LOVED it. I just felt that the passion wasn't there... I was disappointed because I felt so magically inspired after Beauty and the Beast last week! I wasn't feeling that vibe with this yesterday...
